Lot 28 No Nay Never x Pedicel Bay or Brown Colt

This colt is by No Nay Never, a record-breaking 2yo, who is by top 2yo sire SCAT DADDY. He has already left 26 stakes winners including Ten Sovereigns and the Jamie Richards trained, multiple stakes winner, Need I Say More.

First dam Pedicel is by Champion sire Redoute's Choice, she was a winner at 2 and stakes performed. She is a half sister to Gr1 Doncaster Handicap winner Nettoyer.

Lot 104 Pariah x Shamar, Bay Colt

This colt is the first foal of Street Cry mare Shamar, who recorded two wins in Australia over 1112m and 1400m. She is from the same family as Gr1 winner and sire Al Maher.

Pariah stands at Arrowfield Stud in NSW, he is the son of Champion Sire Redoute's Choice. He was Timeform’s second top-rated 2YO of 2016/17, given a figure of 118, just below Invader & She Will Reign (both 119). Bred on the exceptionally successful Redoute’s Choice/Hussonet cross, Pariah is a three-quarter brother to two-time Group 1 winner Melito, from the prolific family of leading sire Zeditave.

His oldest progeny are yearlings and were extremely well received at the Gold Coast Yearling Sale in early January averaging ten times Pariah’s service fee & selling up to $280,000.

First dam Sorellina is from a prominent New Zealand family, she is a full sister to Katie Lee, Champion 3YO in NZ in 2009-10, creating history being the only filly to ever win the 1000 & 2000 Guineas and a half-sister to Banchee, Gr1 winner and Champion 2YO in NZ in 2009-10. Miss Jessie Jay (NZ Broodmare of the Year 2009-10), Qiji Express, Gee I Jane, San Bernadino and Eclair Fantastic are other prominent stakes winners in this family.

By G1 WFA winner, Tivaci is a son of High Chaparral, he stands at Waikato Stud, his oldest progeny are 2yo's & are showing considerable promise.

This filly has huge broodmare residual with both her grand dams being Broodmare’s of the Year in Parfore & Miss Jessie Jay, the only mare to leave Champion 2yo & 3yo in the same season. First dam Two Queens is an unraced daughter of Super Easy, her second dam is Miss Jessie Jay meaning she is a half sister to Gr1 winners Katie Lee and Banshee.

This brown colt is the first foal from Lonhro mare Uzayli, she was a two time winner over the sprint distances in Australia. She is a half sister to Extra Celestial, the dam of Gr2 winner Scott Base. By the Champion, So You Think, one of the most consistent & evergreen sires in Australasia.

Lot 234 Tavistock x Adriatico, Bay Colt

This colt has received a major pedigree update in recent weeks with his half-sister Robusto now a stakes winner after winning the listed Metropolitan Handicap at Riccarton in November. First dam Adriatico is the mother of three foals to race, all winners.

Cambridge Stud sire Tavistock, was a big loss to the stallion ranks here in New Zealand. However, his progeny continue to do the job at the top level with 20 stakes winners, 5 Gr1 winners and 5 International Derby winners to his name including this seasons Victoria Derby winner, Johnny Get Angry

This family also features Gr2 winner Irlanda, as well as exciting 3yo Mo'unga.

Tavistock sadly passed away in 2019 but the son of Montjeu was a Champion NZ Sprinter & top-class Sire. His leading progeny include Werther, Volkstok'n'Barrell, Tarzino, Tavago and Johnny Get Angry.

This is the first foal of the Not A Single Doubt mare Cosmic Powers, who was a winner over 1000m in Australia. Second dam Cosmic Arion is closely related to stakes winners (Golden) Pistols and Keep The Faith.

Pierro is establishing himself as one of the most versatile on the market, his progeny have won at the top level over multiple different distance ranges. This family also features New Zealand Gr1 winner Armstrong as well as stakes winner Star On Ice, Three Chimneys and Spiritual Star.

Vadamos is a son of the legendary Monsun, he is a group one winning miler in France and was leading freshman sire at Karaka 2020. He has already recorded 14 individual 2yo winners in Europe.

Lot 495 Almanzor x Lady Royale, Chestnut Filly

First dam Lady Royale (Captain Rio) is a Gr2 winner of the Matamata Breeders' Stakes. This family features Listed winner and Gr2 placed Chuckle (Danehill) as well as the Bjorn Baker trained Crack Me Up (Mossman) who was a Gr2 winner of the Villiers Stakes and Gr3 winner of the Liverpool City Cup.

Almanzor needs no introduction, the son of Wootton Bassett was a stakes winning 2 year old and three time group one winning 3 year old. During his career he was also a Cartier Award Winner, a top Rated European 3YO and the first European champion 3YO to stand in New Zealand since Montjeu.

This filly is part of the first Southern Hemisphere crop of Almanzor being presented for sale. They were extremely well received at the Gold Coast Yearling Sale selling up to $800,000. He finished the sale as leading Freshman Sire.

First dam Lets Have Some Fun is by the legendary leading Broodmare Sire, Encosta De Lago. She has had three foals to race for two winners - Crowning Star (Hallowed Crown) and Northern Lights (Zizou). Through third dam Theme Song this colt is from the same family as Gr1 winners Emerald Dream (Danehill), stallion Shooting to Win (Northern Meteor) and Luna Rossa (Written Tycoon) as well as Gr2 winner and stallion Deep Field (Northern Meteor).

Sire Charm Spirit enjoyed a stellar season during 2019/20 with stakes winners Aretha, Scorpz, Fascino, Lillikoi and Kick On.
